Dr. Stork’s Happy Hive Honey Chocolate
Delectable 58% dark chocolate hives filled with creamy milk chocolate ganache made with Stork Family honey and finished with edible gold leaf.
These adorable little hives are created especially for Dr. Stork by with non-GMO 58% and 38% couverture chocolate (certified fair trade cacao bean, cane sugar, full cream milk). Stork Family honey, and full cream butter. They are decorated with edible 23k gold, and are all natural and without preservatives. They are best savored within 2 weeks of purchase.
A portion of the proceeds from Happy Hive Chocolates are donated to Step Up in Muskegon, MI. Step Up is an non-profit organization that supports young woman during a stressful time of their own ~ as they “age out” of foster care and make the transition into adulthood. Step Up provides these young women with a nurturing hive of their own, the Step Up House.

A word from Brian Stork:
My son and I enjoy keeping bees in our backyard. Our bees make a delightful honey ~ with an amazing flavor ~ that we enjoy sharing with family and friends. As we gave away more and more jars of honey, we were concerned that all this activity might be stressful to the bees. We wondered… how could more people enjoy this honey in a more sustainable and delectable size?
During one of our many trip to Patricia’s Chocolate in Grand Haven, MI, my daughter and I shared this dilemma with Patty and her assistant Kylie. They suggested creating a very special chocolate, one filled with honey from our bees! We thought this was a great solution, and Dr. Storks Happy Hive Honey Chocolates were born.
Now, our honey can be enjoyed as a lush ganache topped with edible gold leaf, and everyone is happy! In this size, more people can savor our amazing honey, and the bees behind our house are also happy and less stressed.
But this story is even sweeter! Since all of us are supporters of community, a portion of the proceeds from Happy Hive Chocolates are donated to Step Up in Muskegon, MI. Step Up is an non-profit organization that supports young woman during a stressful time of their own ~ as they “age out” of foster care and make the transition into adulthood. R.E.A.D. is a local non-profit organization providing no cost, individual tutoring for adults eager to improve and strengthen their reading and language skills.
Part of the proceeds from each bar sold is donated to R.E.A.D. to help local adults reach their literacy goals and change their lives. It’s a good thing!
